We held the event at the Yoshinogawa Sake Brewery Museum "Hisagotei".

What is that??

Yes, yes, I'll explain.

First and foremost, as a basic premise, this time, the product that has been on sale since 2013
Yoshinogawa's finest sake"The Master Brewer's Evening Drink"However, on July 18th,
Wow...It's been made into a series!

Up until now"Honjozo"In addition to type,
"Ginjo"と"Junmai"These two types have also been released from storage!
The long-awaited series is finally here!

Therefore, we held a "Sake Cup Tasting Competition" as a company event.

The overview is the "Toji's Evening Drink Series" consisting of three types of sake cups.
The idea is to compare the tastes of each type of alcohol.
and,Which sake cup is best suited to that sake?We asked our employees to choose.

*Yes, discerning Yoshinogawa enthusiasts have probably already noticed.

This project is about the aroma produced by sake vessels, which I briefly introduced in my last blog post.
We actually put the difference in taste to the test!

These are the three types of sake cups we prepared for this occasion.

From left to right, these are "sake cup shaped," "trumpet shaped," and "cold sake glass."

These three types are the "Ginjo," "Junmai," and "Honjozo" versions of "Toji no Banshaku" (The Toji's Evening Drink).
We had them compare the tastes of each one.

Right from the start, employees who love to drink began to gather one after another.

Normally, sake tasting is something that is done solemnly and without conversation, but
On this day, everyone was happily exchanging opinions and having a great time.

However, everyone was completely serious when it came to tasting the alcohol. They're all true professionals, after all.

Former master brewer Nakagawa (Manaka) also has this expression. Perhaps he is sensing the subtle flavor.

And so, the "Toji's Evening Drink" Recommended Sake Vessel Grand Prix proceeded smoothly and enjoyably.

Check out the results here!

The chilled sake glasses were overwhelmingly popular!
However, when it comes to ginjo sake, the difference between a chilled sake glass and a sake cup-shaped cup was only one vote!

It was unpopular in the Junmai category,

Imai from the Corporate Strategy Department said,
He praised traditional Japanese sake vessels, saying, "Ochoko (small sake cups) are truly versatile."

What was surprising was the trumpet shape.

It is generally said to pair well with fragrant ginjo-type sake,
The trumpet-shaped one I used this time had a slightly wider opening,
The result was that the fragrance dissipated.
On the other hand, I found that the flavor was quite strong.
For sake cups like the one pictured above, we also recommend full-bodied sake.

and……
As expected, it ended up being a party.

However,
Better sake. Even tastier sake.
For our customers who have chosen Yoshinogawa for their evening drink tonight,
They were having a lively discussion about alcohol.

Yoshinogawa sake, of course,
Yoshinogawa's unwavering dedication to its customers is second to none.

What the master brewer, Fujino, has to say.
"The important thing is how to make sure the people drinking enjoy themselves."

It is precisely because it is brewed by such a master brewer that it becomes a sake you never tire of drinking.
...maybe.

This ending is a little too free-spirited,
This is something only employees who truly love Yoshinogawa sake could do.

...Next time, the bonus episode might be a "label comparison"!?
