Regarding the end of "Tokyo Niigata Story"
I'm Minemasa, the president.
I have an announcement to make to everyone.
The series has continued for eight years.
The advertisement "Tokyo Niigata Story" inside the Joetsu Shinkansen train will be released this March.
The advertisement currently displayed will be the final one.
"Tokyo Niigata Story" was released in May 2011, following the Great East Japan Earthquake.
It began amidst the chaos that raged across Japan after a major disaster.
From the planning stage, we have been taking on the challenge of combining Tokyo and Niigata.
A new "place" and the "hometown" that nurtured and raised me.
By contrasting these two things, I feel like I'm moving forward.
It started with the intention of drawing,
In the wake of the Great East Japan Earthquake,
I came to realize the importance of this "hometown."
More emphasis has been placed on this aspect.
The advertisement was placed within the limited space of the Joetsu Shinkansen.
Because it was developed, it is "Tokyo" and "Niigata"
Geographical conditions were highlighted,
This is about each and every one of you having something new to try.
"The qualities I have cultivated up to this point that support it"
I believe it symbolizes that.
"The qualities I have cultivated up to this point that support it"
The easiest way to understand this is, of course, in the hometown where you were born and raised.
The setting for the series was Niigata.
I believe that everyone who watched it projected their own sense of home onto it.
Furthermore, not only their hometown, but also the friendships they shared,
Things like club activities you've worked hard at,
For each of them, Niigata is a source of comfort in their hearts.
I think I was able to draw it.
On the other hand, "Tokyo" was about taking on new challenges.
Tokyo was a place that symbolized that,
Not only young people, but also older people who are interested in new things
People who take on challenges are attractive.
This earnestness in taking on new challenges,
I think many people could relate to those feelings.
That's the story of Tokyo and Niigata, but what is home?
Things will change.
Eight years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake, and many cities and towns are starting to...
We are starting to move forward based on hope.
A new Shinkansen train, the E7 series, will be introduced on the Joetsu Shinkansen line.
The advertisement "Tokyo Niigata Story" itself is a heart
If it was something they relied on,
The important thing is to move forward from there.
I think the time has come for it to happen.
The last advertisement is,
"The day I return to Tokyo from my hometown is the day I return to my roots and start my journey to the capital once again."
My hometown will change every time I return.
As you grow as a person, your perspective changes.
I realized that the road, which I thought was wide, was actually this narrow.
When a new building is constructed, it becomes difficult to remember what was there before.
But the essence that flows through it remains unchanged.
The advertisements we have created are in line with the feelings of all of you.
If it had happened, I think it would have been the greatest happiness of all.
Cherish your ever-changing "hometown" in your heart.
It's precisely because things are being put away that we can try new things.
"Tokyo Niigata Story" and the Yoshinogawa employees
Yoshinogawa is a precious "hometown" for all of you who enjoy drinking it.
We strongly promise to do so, and this series of advertisements
I would like to conclude this.
Thank you very much for your continued support of "Tokyo Niigata Monogatari" over the years.
