23rd Edition: [Yasubei Furumachi Store] x Junmai Daiginjo 50 Thank You Bottle
Hello everyone! The long, long rainy season is finally over!
Summer is finally here, and the sun is shining again after so long! I want to toast with some delicious drinks! And of course, I want some snacks that are perfect for summer!
To fulfill that wish, this time for our tipsy OneDish, we visited "Yasubei Furumachi Store."
In addition to the standard izakaya menu,
Stepping through the noren (traditional Japanese curtain) gives you a sense of relief; it's a cozy shop with a nostalgic feel.

The Furumachi store is conveniently located on Furumachi Street, 7th Avenue.
They are open from 11:30 AM.
You can even drink during the day!
Ventilation is excellent as a virus prevention measure, so please use our facilities with peace of mind.
This time, the featured sake is "Junmai Daiginjo 50 Appreciation Bottle"!
This is a limited-time offer, available only at restaurants and bars, and in limited quantities!
It has a rich, deep flavor of rice, yet it has a clean finish that disappears gently.
It's best served chilled.
It makes you want the next drink quickly.
Now, let's look at some dishes that pair well with such alcohol.
I learned this from Kazuma, who is in charge of cooking.
[Item 1] Grilled long eggplant rice bowl from Niigata Prefecture
★Ingredients★ (1 serving)
- Commercially available grilled eel sauce: about 25-30 ml
• Salad oil: appropriate amount
• Long eggplant: 1 large
★Recipe★
① To allow the oil and sauce to mix easily,
Cut vertically into strips 2-3 cm wide.
② Add plenty of salad oil to a frying pan heated over high heat.
Add the eggplant and cook one side until browned.
Since the eggplant will absorb the oil, add more oil.
③ Remove the eggplant and place it on a tray lined with kitchen paper.
Next, cover it with a paper towel and press lightly to remove excess oil.
④ Coat the eggplant with the teriyaki sauce and place it on top of the rice served in the bento box.
Add sesame seeds or sansho pepper to taste, and it's done!
Fresh, in-season eggplants can be grilled.
A melt-in-your-mouth texture and a fragrant aroma.
The sweet and salty sauce coats it perfectly, making it an excellent match.
Enjoy it piping hot with rice.
Finally, finish it off with a drink.
It's sure to lift your spirits and give you a boost of energy, even if you've been feeling down and withdrawn!

As expected of Yasubei-san, I was impressed by the price and quality... I was very satisfied!
