Friday, February 18, 2022. That morning, freshly pressed pure rice sake,
They cool the products using snow from Nagaoka, transport them to Tokyo by Shinkansen, and sell them there.
We carried out "transportation through snow"!
(※The product sold out immediately, but we are introducing it as part of Yoshinogawa's initiatives.)

During the COVID-19 pandemic, JR East's Shinkansen
One new application is to transport goods using the Shinkansen (bullet train).
This collaboration with Yoshinogawa is part of that initiative.

Since it was implemented last year and was very well received,
We increased the number of participants this year! Here's a video documenting the event.

Early that morning, we filled 120 bottles of freshly pressed junmai sake into 720ml containers.
The sake is cooled using snow from the Yoshinogawa premises and sold at Tokyo Station and Ueno Station in the evening.
Cheers erupted when the alcohol was taken out from the snow.
It was such a huge success that everything sold out within an hour.

The impact of the new virus pandemic is still significant, and difficult times continue.
