70th Edition: [Izakaya Mura Nagaoka Ote-dori Branch] × Nomigoro Junmai Nomikiri
As July begins, Nagaoka is experiencing a stretch of hot and humid days. On nights like these, sake on the rocks or chilled sake is just what you need. At the brewery, Tanabata decorations have been up since the end of June, and we have been hanging up strips of paper on which our customers have written their wishes. At Horoyoi OneDish, we also prayed, "May we be able to deliver Yoshinogawa sake, perfectly paired dishes, and a wonderful restaurant!" At the end of the month, the children's long-awaited "summer vacation" will begin. Please come to the brewery and make some fun memories. And on August 2nd this year, the Nagaoka Festival Grand Fireworks Display will be held. The "Shosanshaku-dama" (three-foot diameter fireworks) provided by Yoshinogawa will also be launched. Please enjoy that as well.

Now, in this segment called "Tipsy OneDish," we visit restaurants and bars in Niigata Prefecture and ask them to come up with snacks that pair well with Yoshinogawa sake. This time, the restaurant that will be preparing the dishes is located in front of Nagaoka Station.Izakaya Mura Nagaoka Ote-dori BranchThis time it's "Nomigoro Junmai (pure rice sake)They prepared a dish that would go well with it!

「Nomigoro Junmai (pure rice sake)This is the junmai sake that received the highest rating at the "first tasting" held at the brewery on June 19th. The first tasting is an important event for the brewery where experts from the brewing research institute and employees from the production department taste all the sake that was brewed this winter and stored in tanks to evaluate and confirm the degree of maturation. The junmai sake that tasted the best at that time has been bottled as this "Nomigoro Junmai Nomikiri" (Ready-to-Drink Junmai Tasting) in its undiluted state.

And the person who will cook the meal:Izakaya Mura Nagaoka Ote-dori Branch」 is a sister restaurant to Izakaya Mura, located on the 3rd floor of An'eikan across the street, and opened in April 2023 as an "adult-oriented izakaya." It has a different concept and menu from the An'eikan store, offering a different way to enjoy yourself. It's great to drop by alone, sit at the counter and chat with the staff, or go with colleagues from work or a neighborhood gathering, and of course, it's also recommended for dates! They are very particular about their ingredients, using high-quality tuna from a wholesaler at Toyosu Market, and mainly using locally sourced beef and chicken from Niigata. This time, they are using "Koshi no Tori," a brand of chicken from Niigata.
And this timeNomigoro Junmai (pure rice sake)As a dish that would pair well with the meal, they made "Yurinchi" (fried chicken with sweet and sour sauce), which is also served at their restaurant. They even shared their restaurant's recipe, so you definitely have to check it out!
