93rd Edition: [Kaisen Robata Funaei Takada Store] x Ginjo Gokujo Yoshinogawa

June has arrived, and the rainy season has begun in the Kanto-Koshin region. While the name doesn't usually include "Echigo," we're wondering when the rainy season will begin in Niigata, the former Echigo Province... With the hot weather continuing since May, we're already worried about what this summer will be like. At Yoshinogawa, we cultivate our own sake rice, the raw material for our sake. We're very concerned about the rice harvest, so from now on it will be a battle against the temperature. Our own cultivated rice is grown by a small but reliable group of young people at Yoshinogawa Agricultural Products. It's a job that depends on the weather, but it's "rice cultivation," the source of delicious sake. To deliver delicious sake to everyone, we've started running again this year as the first runner in the relay. We can't wait to see what kind of sake it will turn out to be. Please look forward to it!!

Now, in this segment called "Tipsy OneDish," we visit restaurants and bars in Niigata Prefecture and ask them to come up with snacks that pair well with Yoshinogawa sake. This time, the restaurant that will be preparing the dishes is located in Joetsu City.Kaisen Robata Funaei Takada StoreThis is Mr./Ms. [Name]. This time, they prepared dishes that pair well with the premium Ginjo Yoshinogawa sake.

The chef who prepared the dishes for this occasion was "Kaisen Robata Funaei Takada StoreThis restaurant is located just a short walk from JR Takada Station. This luxurious dish uses a whole round eggplant. The Joetsu round eggplant has a thin skin, and by steaming it once and then deep-frying it, the melt-in-your-mouth texture of the eggplant is enhanced, creating a powerful flavor that combines with the rich meat miso and the savory richness of cheese. The lingering sweet and savory aftertaste, along with the crisp, transparent flavor of the premium Yoshinogawa sake, elegantly washes away the oiliness of the fried eggplant, making the next bite even more enjoyable. It will also be available as a limited-time menu item at our restaurant. Please enjoy this delicious combination at our restaurant.

・Grilled round eggplant with meat miso and cheese from Joetsu: 880 yen (tax included) *Limited time offer

And here's another recommended item from the restaurant!

• Seafood Platter (serves 4 people) 3,388 yen (tax included)

*At the time of filming: Squid, salmon, horse mackerel, sea bream, tuna

This dish is the restaurant's signature menu item, "Isomori"!! It's a dish that's ordered by almost every customer who visits the restaurant. You can choose one type of fresh fish from those purchased at the market every morning, and add squid, depending on the number of people in your party (2, 3, or 4 people). The squid sashimi is appealing for its sweetness that spreads the moment it enters your mouth and its sticky texture. When you slowly sip chilled Ginjo Gokujo Yoshinogawa sake on top of it, the aroma of the ginjo sake fills your nose...—After the initial spiciness, a crisp, dry flavor pleasantly cleanses the palate. But there's another treat waiting for you with this seafood platter! ! Please come and enjoy it at our restaurant.
